A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Rachel!
I started practising yoga in 2018 while volunteering as a nurse in Uganda. At first, it was just movement, but soon it became so much more: a source of mental and emotional healing. After long days, my mat became a space to quiet my mind and reconnect with myself.

In 2024, I completed my 200hr Yoga Teacher Training and have been teaching in Galway ever since.

Éalú means escape, and for me that’s what yoga offers, a moment to escape from the busyness of life and reconnect with myself.

I aim for my classes to be more than movement: a space for you to reconnect with your breath, your body, and your practice.

One Day Retreat- Back to Basics

with Éalú yoga & First hour by Tina

Join us for a nourishing one-day retreat designed to bring you back to the basics of yoga and meditation. Éalú Yoga and First Hour by Tina will guide you through yoga, meditation and the deeper theory behind the practice in a relaxed and welcoming space.

This day is an invitation to slow down, reconnect, and deepen your understanding of yoga and meditation.

What to expect within the day: 

  • Tea/Coffee and treats on arrival

  • Grounding and intention setting

  • Gentle morning yoga practise

  • Yoga practise and theory- breaking down and discussing some basic yoga postures.

  • Hot lunch in a beautiful space

  • Meditation and journaling- discussing the basics of meditation

  • Yoga and meditation class- using what we learned during the day.

  • Connection with other like-minded people

  • Time for rest and inner connection

What to expect: 

  • Stepping away from everyday life for a morning of Beach yoga and Sauna. 

  • A 45-minute energising Yoga flow, beginning with some yoga on the beach to get the blood flowing and the body energised. All levels welcome.

  • Relaxing Sauna-After yoga, we will make our way over to the Driftwood Sauna for 50 minutes of pure relaxation, where you can unwind, release tension and allow body and mind to soften.

Start your week and weekend with a grounding and energizing Hatha Yoga class to build strength, flexibility, and create space for some calm. We'll balance body and mind through postures (asana), breathwork (pranayama), and meditation, leaving you refreshed and centered. Whether you're new to yoga, have dabbled a bit, or are looking to deepen your practice, these classes are open to everyone.

  • A deeply grounding 75-minute class that blends gentle movement with deeply restful, supported restorative yoga. 

  • Joining from the comfort of your home, hopefully in your PJs. We’ll begin by moving slowly through postures to feel into the body and create space, then soften into stillness with restorative shapes and props.

  • The class concludes with a guided yoga nidra, a restful meditation designed to settle the body and mind fully.

  • Recording will be available for the full week after class, so you can come back to it whenever you are in need of some rest.

Tried one online class and found it brilliant! Calming and informative. Also your recent email about changing styles and forms of exercise is really helpful! As someone that finds it hard to commit long term to one form of exercise due to work commitments I found this helpful and calming to know I am not alone and not feel like a failure! Definitely want to attend in person class soon
